Kerry Trial: Day One

Today Kerry was very mellow.  I was going to have a lesson on him, but when my sister picked up his right hind hoof, his shoe was missing!!!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

My trainer told me to ride for a little bit, just in case he would be fine without the shoe.  He was fine for the walking and the first few laps of trotting, but then she noticed him favoring his left hind leg.  I got off and gave him cookies for being a good boy.  Then I rinsed him and cleaned his stall.

My trainer went searching for a farrier, and if Kerry gets his shoe back on, my sister can have a lesson on him tomorrow.

BTW the shoe was found lodged between a rubber mat and the stall wall.
